Our price guide
Typical prices for Irish homes. Your written quote comes after the room is measured.
Respray prices by size
- Small, up to 10 doors: €700 to €1,995, about a day.
- Medium, 10 to 15 doors: €1,250 to €2,800, one to three days.
- Large, 15 to 20 doors: €1,400 to €3,900, two to four days.
- Very large, with an island: €2,000 to €4,500, up to five days.
Sprayers price on the number of doors, drawer fronts and panels, not the size of the room. Count yours before anyone rings.
Which doors take a respray
- Solid wood and painted wood: the best results.
- MDF, painted or vinyl-wrapped: usually, once the surface is sound and keyed.
- Foil that's peeling or lifting: no. Replace those doors.
- High gloss: ask. It needs proper keying and the right primer.
How long it lasts
A good sprayed finish lasts years in a family kitchen. The failure that matters is delamination, the coat lifting from the door, and it shows first at the sink and the dishwasher, where steam gets at the edges. A guarantee that names delamination and gives a term in years is worth more than a general promise. Get it in writing before the deposit.
Respray, new doors or a new kitchen
If the units are failing, with soft hinges, broken runners or swollen board, replacement is the honest answer. If the units are sound and only the look is dated, a respray is the better value. Open every cupboard before you decide. The four levels are on remodel or refresh.
What to ask before you book
- How many doors, drawer fronts and panels did you count, and is the price fixed on that count?
- On site or in a workshop? How many days is the kitchen without doors?
- What primer goes on vinyl-wrapped or gloss doors?
- Are the carcass ends and panels sprayed too?
- What does the guarantee cover, and for how many years?
- Is VAT in the price?

How much does a kitchen respray cost in Ireland?
€700 to €1,995 for a small kitchen of up to 10 doors, €1,250 to €2,800 for 10 to 15 doors, and up to €4,500 for a very large kitchen with an island.
How long does a kitchen respray take?
One day for a small kitchen, up to five for a very large one. Much of the work can be done off site.
Can vinyl-wrapped kitchen doors be resprayed?
Usually, if the wrap is sound and properly keyed and primed. Peeling or lifting wrap can't: replace those doors.
Is a respray cheaper than new doors?
Not always. Respraying 10 to 15 doors is €1,250 to €2,800. New plain doors start at €48 each supplied, so 15 are about €720 before drawer fronts, handles and fitting.
