Our price guide
Typical prices for Irish homes. Your written quote comes after the room is measured.
Day rate or a price for the job?
Most fitters price the whole kitchen, because the days a kitchen takes depend on the room, the floor and the walls. A day rate is useful for small jobs: hanging new doors, swapping a worktop, fitting a few units.
Working back to a day rate
A full install takes five to seven days. At €2,000 to €6,000 for the job, that's roughly €300 to €1,200 a day for the fitting team, depending on the size and how many fitters come.
Flat-pack kitchens
Flat-pack takes longer to fit than rigid units, because every carcass is built on site. Expect the day count to go up, and ask whether assembly is in the fitter's price. A measuring visit before installation can cost about €100, not refunded.
VAT on fitting
Labour on its own is charged at 13.5% where the fitter is VAT-registered. Ask for the VAT on the quote.
Before you agree a price
- Is taking out the old kitchen in it, and the skip?
- Who connects the sink, dishwasher and hob?
- Is the worktop cut on site, or templated?
- What happens if a unit arrives damaged?
