Our price guide for Dublin
Typical prices for Irish homes. Your written quote comes after the room is measured.
What changes the job in Dublin
Older homes, older pipes and wiring
48% of Dublin homes were built before 1981 (Ireland: 41%). In an older house a new layout usually means new pipes and wiring behind it: moving the sink, cooker, extractor or sockets adds about €1,000 to €4,000. Ask for it in the same quote as the kitchen, and get the electrics done by a Registered Electrical Contractor, with a certificate.
Apartments and smaller kitchens
27% of Dublin homes are flats or apartments (Ireland: 13%). An apartment kitchen is usually one wall or a galley, so the cost is in the doors, the worktop and the appliances rather than the size. Check the management company's rules on working hours, lifts and the skip before a fitting date is booked.
New homes and one-off houses
13,681 new homes were finished in Dublin in 2025, 283 of them one-off houses. In a self-build the kitchen goes in after the plastering, so bring the kitchen design to the builder before the first fix: the sink, hob and sockets then go where the kitchen needs them, first time.
Rented homes
36% of Dublin households rent from a private landlord. A landlord refreshing a kitchen between tenants usually gets most for the money from a respray or new doors and a laminate worktop, done in a few days.
