Our price guide
Typical prices for Irish homes. Your written quote comes after the room is measured.
What a fit-only price should include
- Building and fixing the units level, even on a floor that isn't.
- Cutting and fitting laminate or wood worktops, the sink and the hob.
- Doors, drawers, handles, plinths and end panels.
- Integrated appliances fitted into their housings.
What it usually doesn't: the plumbing and electrical connections, tiling, plastering and painting, and the skip. Ask which are in it.
The first day to the last
- Day one: the old kitchen comes out, the services are capped, the walls checked for level.
- Days two and three: base units, then wall units.
- Day four: worktops, sink and hob. A stone worktop is templated now and fitted a week or two later.
- Last day: doors, drawers, handles, plinths, end panels, appliances.
Electrics and gas: registered, by law
Electrical work must be done by a Registered Electrical Contractor and gas work by a Registered Gas Installer, and each gives you a completion certificate. Ask the fitter who they use.
Supplied and fitted, or fitting only?
If you buy the kitchen yourself, you carry the risk when a unit is missing or damaged, and you organise the plumber and electrician. A company that supplies and fits takes that on and gives one guarantee for the lot. See kitchen fitter day rates.

Take a photo, pick a style, colour and worktop, and our free Studio draws it on your room.
Design my kitchen, freeQuestions people ask
How much do kitchen fitters charge in Ireland?
€2,000 to €6,000 to fit a whole kitchen you've bought, plus €300 to €800 to take out the old one.
How long does it take to fit a kitchen?
Three to seven days on site. Two to three weeks with tiling, plumbing and electrics.
Do kitchen fitters do the plumbing and electrics?
Not usually. A plumber connects the sink and dishwasher, and a Registered Electrical Contractor does the electrics, with a certificate.
